Privacy Policy

KigoStylist provides outfit scanning, wardrobe organization, styling assistance, Home Intelligence, optional Calendar Context, weather-aware recommendations, social features, and links to physical products sold by third-party retailers. This policy explains the information handled when you choose those features, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information handled by KigoStylist

Depending on the features you choose, the app may handle:

• Account and authentication information used for Sign in with Apple.
• Messages sent to the AI Stylist and the conversation context needed to answer them.
• Scan-derived outfit information, including the authoritative KigoStylist score, colors, patterns, fit observations, accessories, and saved scan results.
• Style preferences, sizes and measurements you enter, closet items, favorite brands or stores, occasions, budget preferences, wish-list items, saved products, and shopping interactions.
• Weather and location context used for weather-aware styling.
• Optional Calendar Context, reduced on-device to styling-relevant event categories and timing.
• Style Friends information that you choose to create or share, including a social profile, friend requests, shared looks, messages, reactions, reports, and block choices.
• Messages you choose to send to AI Customer Service and limited diagnostics used to help troubleshoot the request.
• Notification preferences and, if notifications are enabled for a released feature, device notification-registration information.
• Privacy-safe technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as a pseudonymous device or account identifier, bounded counts, request status, and numeric error codes.

Outfit photos and on-device processing

Outfit photos are analyzed on your device. The production AI request path does not send outfit photos, Base64-encoded images, or image URLs to KigoStylist's backend or OpenAI. If you separately choose Share as Link and include an outfit photo, the app uploads that photo and the selected card sections to KigoStylist's backend so the shared card can be displayed. Including a photo is optional and off by default. Scan history, closet information, preferences, and AI conversation history may be stored locally on your device.

Information processed only on your device is not sent to KigoStylist merely because it is stored or analyzed locally. When you explicitly allow AI data sharing and request an AI feature, relevant text-based context may be transmitted as described below.

AI Stylist and OpenAI

Before sending information for an external AI request, KigoStylist explains what may be sent, identifies the recipients, and asks for your explicit permission. If you allow it, the app may send your message and relevant bounded text styling context—such as a preference or profile summary, selected outfit or scan facts, and score breakdown information—to KigoStylist's Cloudflare-hosted API and OpenAI to generate the AI Stylist response you requested. This AI request path does not send raw outfit photos, image bytes, screenshots, precise location, local database identifiers, or internal route metadata.

AI conversations are transmitted to generate the response you request. Your device may retain AI conversation history locally. We do not state a universal server-side or provider retention period in this policy because those periods depend on the active service configuration, provider terms, and legal requirements. We will update this policy if a released configuration changes the categories sent to an AI provider or the applicable processing disclosure.

When an approved external AI provider is used, a request may pass through KigoStylist's Cloudflare-hosted service to that provider. The current policy does not promise Zero Data Retention, Modified Abuse Monitoring, or any provider-specific retention period unless those controls are independently confirmed for the released service. The AI may explain existing results and offer suggestions. It does not replace, recompute, or override the authoritative StyleMatch outfit score.

Weather and location

When Weather is available, KigoStylist uses Apple Weather through WeatherKit. If you choose location-based weather, location is used for that lookup; an entered city can also be used for a weather lookup. The app does not claim continuous location collection. Weather-derived text context may be included in a requested AI interaction only after you grant external AI consent. Apple Weather attribution and Apple's legal attribution page appear wherever Apple Weather information is displayed.

Home Intelligence and Calendar Context

Home Intelligence can combine available local Profile, Closet, saved-scan, occasion, weather, shopping, and work-context information to provide today-focused styling guidance. It distinguishes confirmed information, reasonable inferences, and information that is unknown; it does not treat missing Closet information as proof that you do not own an item.

Calendar Context is optional and is requested only when you choose to enable it. With Calendar permission, the app reads a bounded upcoming-event window on your device and reduces events to a styling-relevant category, timing, duration, and all-day state. It does not place raw event titles, notes, attendees, locations, URLs, organizers, calendar identifiers, or event identifiers in AI Memory. A minimized event summary may be included in an AI request only when you request AI help and have granted the applicable AI consent. You can disable Calendar Context in the app or change Calendar permission in iOS Settings.

Style Friends and direct messages

If you choose to use Style Friends, we process the social profile details, friend requests and relationships, shared looks, reactions, comments, reports, and block choices needed to provide that feature. Material that you explicitly publish is visible only to the audience selected by the feature, such as authorized friends; your private Profile, Closet, private scans, and AI Memory are not automatically made social.

Direct messages are sent through authenticated service routes to the intended conversation participants. Message content and related delivery, read, reaction, report, and block information may be processed to provide messaging and safety features. Reporting or blocking can create non-public moderation information. Style Friends is not an end-to-end encrypted messaging service, and we do not publish a fixed server retention period for social or message records until the deployed service and retention controls are independently verified.

AI Customer Service

AI Customer Service is separate from direct messages and the AI Stylist. When you choose to use it and grant the required consent, your support message, approved support information, and limited troubleshooting diagnostics may be processed to answer or route your request. It does not automatically receive your complete Profile, Closet, scans, AI Memory, CloudKit data, or Style Friends content. If a support request is processed by an AI provider, the provider disclosure and retention language above applies to the released configuration.

Shopping and affiliate links

KigoStylist can show clothing and physical products offered by third-party retailers. When you open a retailer link, you leave KigoStylist and that retailer's privacy policy applies. KigoStylist may receive an affiliate commission from a qualifying physical-goods purchase at no additional cost to you. The app does not sell paid digital content, subscriptions, or feature unlocks, and it does not process retailer payment-card information.

Shared score-card links

When you deliberately create a Share as Link card, KigoStylist uploads the card sections you selected. If you also enable Outfit photo, the photo is uploaded to KigoStylist's Cloudflare-hosted storage so it can appear on the shared card. The link stops working 30 days after creation or earlier if you revoke it in Profile. Revoking the link deletes its stored photo. Expiration ends access to the card but may not immediately delete the stored object; do not include a photo if you do not want it stored for sharing.

How information is used

• Provide account, scan, closet, shopping, weather, and AI Stylist functionality.
• Personalize styling suggestions you request.
• Preserve saved preferences and results.
• Authenticate requests, enforce service limits, and protect the service.
• Diagnose failures using fixed event names, bounded counts, and error classifications.
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to valid requests.

KigoStylist does not use this information for cross-app tracking, sell it to data brokers, or use it for third-party advertising.

Analytics, tracking, and cookies

The app does not include a third-party advertising or analytics SDK and does not use personal information for cross-app tracking. This privacy website does not set advertising cookies or embed Google Analytics or third-party advertising trackers. Cloudflare, as the website and service infrastructure provider, may process network, security, and operational request information under its applicable terms.

Service providers

• Cloudflare serves this privacy page and may provide network, Worker, and backend infrastructure for released KigoStylist services.
• OpenAI or another approved AI provider may receive the limited request information described above when an applicable AI feature is active, you request it, and the relevant consent applies.
• Apple provides Sign in with Apple, Apple Weather through WeatherKit, Calendar access through EventKit on your device, iCloud/CloudKit where enabled, and APNs where notifications are enabled.
• Retailers and affiliate partners receive information when you deliberately open their websites or use their services.

Notifications and iCloud

Notification permission is controlled by iOS. If you enable a released notification feature, KigoStylist may process your selected notification preferences and device notification-registration information to deliver the categories you select. Apple APNs is involved only when notification delivery is enabled. Notification previews are designed to be limited and should not be treated as a substitute for opening the authenticated feature.

Where private iCloud/CloudKit sync is enabled, it is intended to keep supported private StyleMatch records consistent across your own devices. It is distinct from Style Friends and does not give friends access to your private Profile, Closet, scans, or AI Memory. We do not promise a fixed CloudKit retention or deletion period here until the released sync and deletion behavior are independently verified.

Retention

Locally saved information remains on your device until you remove it through the app, delete local customer data, delete the app, or the operating system removes the app's data. Delete My Saved Data is a device-local control: it deletes the applicable data stored on that device and does not by itself send a server-side account-deletion request.

Delete Account is separate from local deletion and may require recent Sign in with Apple confirmation. The app is designed to request deletion of the account and associated service data through the authenticated account service. Because server-side deletion, backups, moderation retention, object cleanup, and provider processing depend on the deployed service configuration, we do not promise a fixed purge timeline or complete provider deletion in this policy. Contact us for assistance with an account or privacy request.

Shared score-card links become unavailable after 30 days or earlier if revoked. If a shared card includes a photo, revoking the link is designed to remove its sharing representation; expiration alone may not immediately delete a stored object. Providers may retain operational service data under their own current terms and legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

• Decline AI sharing: Scanning, saved results, Closet, and Shopping remain available. No external AI request is sent.
• Withdraw AI consent: Use Profile → Your Privacy → AI Transmission Privacy → Revoke AI transmission permission. Future external AI requests remain blocked until you grant the current disclosure again.
• Delete local data: Use the app's privacy controls to delete saved profile, closet, assistant, shopping, and scan-history information.
• Delete your account: Use Profile → Delete Account. This is separate from Delete My Saved Data and may require recent Sign in with Apple confirmation.
• Calendar Context: Enable or disable it in the app, or change Calendar permission in iOS Settings.
• Style Friends: Choose what you publish, manage friendships, block or report users, and remove supported social content through the available feature controls.
• Notifications: Change system notification permission in iOS Settings and manage applicable notification preferences in KigoStylist.
• Location: Change location permission in iOS Settings. If current weather is unavailable, the app uses valid recent data or shows weather as unavailable rather than inventing conditions.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether an applicable privacy law applies, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing, or a portable copy of certain information. California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA; individuals in the European Economic Area may have rights under the GDPR; and individuals in the United Kingdom may have rights under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. This statement does not claim that every law or right applies to every request.

KigoStylist provides an in-app local export for applicable data stored on that device. To submit a privacy request—including an access, correction, deletion, or portability request where supported and legally required—email hello@goodnessoflifeandfun.com. We may need to verify your identity and request details before responding. You may also use the in-app controls described above to correct profile information, export applicable local data, delete local data, delete your account, or withdraw AI consent.

Security

Production KigoStylist service endpoints and this privacy website use HTTPS/TLS for data in transit. Account access uses Sign in with Apple and time-limited authenticated sessions, and supported session credentials are stored using iOS Keychain protections. We also use server-side request authentication and iOS platform security controls intended to limit unauthorized access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Children's privacy

KigoStylist is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app or its service providers change. We will update the date above and, when appropriate, provide notice in the app. A material change to the categories shared with external AI requires renewed in-app consent before another external AI request.

Significant revisions will be summarized in this section. September 16, 2026: clarified the WeatherKit weather path and in-app local export. August 15, 2026: added disclosures for optional Calendar Context, Home Intelligence, Style Friends, direct messages, AI Customer Service, notifications, and private iCloud/CloudKit sync; clarified that Delete My Saved Data is device-local and that this policy does not promise unverified server, backup, moderation, or provider deletion timelines.
